I met Dot Hong back in 2002 or so when I was CD of the FADER magazine. She came on board to help out in the photography department, and went on to run it. She’s a terrific photographer, great with natural light, and her portraits glow with a subtle power that belies their sense of quiet and thoughtfulness. As well as shooting for our sister pub CITY, she has a slew of magazine and commercial clients keeping here busy, and after all these years she finally has the next cover of the FADER. Congratulations Dorothy, and congrats too on your new site http://dothong.com.
The Wooly

Nestled on the ground floor of the New York’s historic Woolworth Building (the city’s tallest building from 1913 until 1930) is a private event space aptly named The Wooly. Native New Yorker and owner Eric Adolfson—whose father has worked in the building as a lawyer for as long as Eric can remember — runs the space as a restaurant during business hours — and opens up the spot late night for private events.
