Seize sur Vingt has just launched a line of men’s swim trunks in three patterns. The two colorful prints (Peacock and Vision) were commissioned illustrations by the artist Paul Weil, while the houndstooth pattern was designed by Seize sur Vingt. The fabric was printed in Como, Italy on nylon designed specifically for water sports, and the trunks were made in a small factory in central France that specializes in swim trunks. They have a short, slim fit, inspired by Mediterranean styles from the 1950’s and 1960’s with a mesh liner and Velcro closure in the front. Only 60 meters of each fabric was printed, so the trunks will not be available for long. Will you be running out to grab these limited edition men’s swimwear?

As long as I can remember, I have been a summer girl. I love the heat, the sun and best of all the bright colors. For the short time I get to enjoy these three things, I take full advantage of it; practically living outside, burning my skin under the sun and wearing all sorts of colors that may or may not go together. The rain in New York City has been relentless the past few days and has required me to dust off my Hunter rainboots. I must admit, it took me awhile to find the perfect rubber boots that would keep the rain from soaking my feet but would also look nice while I was out and about. I finally selected a pair of light blue tall Hunter rain boots and have not looked back since. With all this rain, it became my task to see what other trendy rain boots are out there to keep the fashionable people stylish without looking like they were going to sea. If you haven’t heard by now, the Queen has been celebrating her Jubilee year. To mark this momentous occasion, Aruna Seth has created shoes that are fit for a queen. These british-themed shoes will be in limited quantity and available only at Harrods. When I say limited quantity, I mean they are only making ten pairs of these shoes and are considered a British collector’s piece. The shoes show off the Union Jack bedazzled in Swarovski crystals and retailing at around 3,000 pounds. I don’t know if I can see the Queen wearing these, but maybe Kate will snatch them up!

On May 18, Billy Reid co-hosted the Crafting Fashion Pop-Up Shop with designer Natalie Chanin of Alabama Chanin. To celebrate New York Design Week, which will be held from May 19- May 22, the shop will offer one of a kind limited merchandise that emphasizes craft, local production and hand-made artisanship. The shop runs May 18 – May 25 from 11:00 am till 8:00 pm and on Sundays from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
