The Luxury of Los Cabos

By Renee Lucas, August 3rd, 2012

Los Cabos is one of those places that has everything to offer. Some tropical destinations are low key and romantic and some are made to party. Los Cabos is everything and anything you want it to be, and a trip to the Baja California Sur is everything you make it.

Vacations are always intended to be a time to relax. But sometimes with travel arrangements, and the urge to indulge in more cocktail hours than you are used to, you really do need a vacation, from your vacation. Not so with the Grand Velas Resort in the Mayan Rivera.

Experience the Revelry

By Renee Lucas, May 29th, 2012

experience the revelry
Anyone looking for a good time on the east coast this summer is going to want to check out Revel in Atlantic City. The property is modern and grandiose with a Las Vegas caliber casino, rooms, dining and entertainment. Beyoncé took the stage for four nights in a row this past weekend for Memorial Day where she wowed the crowd with chart toppers like “Single Ladies,” and “Crazy in Love,” but also showed a more emotional side, singing “I Will Always Love You” before thanking her “girls” (Destiny’s Child’s Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams) and her husband Jay-Z for their support.

Inside the Versace Mansion

By Renee Lucas, May 16th, 2012

inside the versace mansion

The Versace Mansion is as stunning as the good looking party guests it attracts, but it wasn’t always this way. Not until 1992 did Versace walk by, his eyes fell on the kneeling Aphrodite statue in the center of the courtyard, did he begin his battle with local Miami government to change the art deco nearby lots making it the house of art, fashion and design that it is today.

Be Beach-Ready with Theodora & Callum

By Renee Lucas, December 19th, 2011

It’s tough to think about warm warm weather, beaches, and flowing scarves when we’re all bundled up—but soon enough the days will start getting longer, or you’ll at least skip town for a vacation in warmer climates. Essentially, it’s not too late to get beach-ready, so Theodora & Callum is offering upgraded shipping on its gorgeous caftans and scarves until December 21.

We all love giving and receiving gifts—but fighting with crowds isn’t for us. Our kind of Black Friday experience is more about personal shoppers, luxury items, and individual attention. Most of all, why should gift giving just be limited to the holidays? For constant shoppers like me, VISA Black Card likes to reward me for all my plastic swiping.

Haute Couture Hair

By Renee Lucas, July 13th, 2011

Your roots have grown in and you have no time to get to the salon. I find myself in this predicament all too often but instead of trusting myself to fix it, I just spend a few extra days underneath a hat or headband. A few months ago, however, I was introduced to Colour Couture, and for once, I’m not scared to take my color into my own hands.

Choices, Choices

By Renee Lucas, June 23rd, 2011

Oh choices, choices. When it comes to skincare, there are endless options. Many people love the luxury of rich perfumes, attractive dyes, and the scent of a spa, but one brand I’ve found has none of these but gets to the point of what you are really trying to do: Have beautiful skin.
Paula’s Choice successfully treats everything from acne to wrinkles, rosacea, sensitive skin, sun damage, dry skin and oily skin, all while using fragrance free, dye-free products.

Theodora & Callum is the collection known for its travel-inspired scarves, jewelry, shoes and handbags. And though the pieces evoke memories of far-off places like Istanbul, Mykonos, and Capri, the collection fit in quite well last weekend in East Hampton.

The Gansevoort Summer Series has quickly made the pool atop the Gansevoort Park Avenue Hotel the hottest rooftop in the city. In New York, where the outdoor spaces and swimming pool are scarce, most are members only, but the Vitaminwater Zero sponsored DJ series has opened it’s roof to the public with a rotating DJ line-up that’s as hot as the late afternoon summer sun.

Perfect Vision

By Renee Lucas, May 4th, 2011

New companies are constantly trying to find ways to combine fashion and technology. Each time a new tablet is released, an accessories designer is working to make a stylish case. And clothing companies are always trying to work with the most innovative fabrics to fit the active lifestyle. But as much as we love jumping on trends, there is something simple about putting your trust in a seasoned company working to maintain its great reputation by developing technology that will only enhance its service to its loyal, and new, customers. LensCrafters, purveyor of luxury frames and affordable eye care now introduces its Digital Measurement System being rolled out in stores throughout the summer, and will be available nationwide and in Canada by September.

Ralph’s Rides

By Renee Lucas, April 26th, 2011

Ralph Lauren, best knows for his clothing that signifies pure Americana has more than just a soft spot for v-neck sweaters and riding boots. The designer can also appreciate the hard-bodied artistry of a car—and apparently owns a lot of them.

Red Carpet Riley

By Renee Lucas, April 25th, 2011

Riley Keough looked absolutely stunning as she walked the red carpet of her new film, The Good Doctor, also starring Orlando Bloom. Her look was one of old Hollywood glamour with a youthful twist that exudes timeless elegance—a combination of Jayne Mansfield and Marilyn Monroe.
To get the look, stylist James Vides began by applying KeSARI Indian Oil Hair Serum with Triphala Radiance Silk Complex to her wet hair to create that perfect shine.

Soigne K Brings out the Color!

By Renee Lucas, April 13th, 2011

In a city where black is always the most acceptable color, guests at the New Yorkers for Children gala did not shy away from bright colors last night. In order to compliment the evenings sponsor Soigné K, jewel tones, rich hues, and exceptional design details made an impact at The Mandarin Oriental.
