8 Spring Ready Perfumes

By Mallory Davis, May 4th, 2012

When the seasons change, it’s extremely easy to change over your wardrobe – hemlines are hiked up while all the wool recedes further into the closet. What may not be so easy to update with the weather is your perfume. Who hasn’t’ sat next to someone on the subway or bus and gotten a mouthful of their heavy perfume? Since the heavy clouds of winter have lightened up so does the perfume. Here are eight spring perfumes will not leave a terrible taste in anyone’s mouth.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Parfum, Nordstrom, $105

The classic Chanel is a perfect match for summer with its fresh smelling scent and Asian inspired undertones.

Dior Miss Dior Eau de Parfum, Sephora, $80

This scent has become a staple on my shelf since I acquired it in 2010. Described as a new interpretation of the classic Miss Dior, it’s sweet smelling yet fresh; something all girls strive to be!

Escada Rockin’ Rio, Macy’s, $55

This discontinued scent has made a comeback in a big way and I for one couldn’t be happier about it. I’ve taken to wearing this fruity, floral fragrance almost everyday and yet I am still not sick of it.

Gucci Guilty Intense Eau de Parfum, Nordstrom, $87

Floral scents are the thing for spring – naturally – and this floral scent will knock your socks off with its signature lilac aroma.

Ralph Lauren Romance Summer Blossom Eau de Toilette, Nordstrom, $72

According to a friend, this scent is the perfect reminder of sunshine and summer. I have yet to try this fruity, fresh, floral fragrance but it is on my list this summer for sure.

Valentino Valentina Eau de Parfum, Bloomingdales, $80

What originally attracted me to this perfume was the bottle; it’s so girly and chic that I had to smell it. What I didn’t expect was that this fragrance would bring me all the way back to when I spent a spring in Rome. Fragrance with that kind of power or nostalgia – count me in.

Vera Wang Princess Night Eau de Toilette, Macys, $60

Vera Wang has yet again released another perfume in the ‘Princess’ franchise and she did not disappoint with this one. This scent is for a perfect springtime night on the town and includes a mix of jasmine petals, wild berries and watermelon. It’s almost good enough to eat.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Eau de Toilette, Saks Fifth Avenue, $80

I continually keep coming back to this scent. It’s not over powering and not too fresh that I smell like a tissue (Anyone else remember Cotton Blossom from Bath and Body Works?). As much as I tried to deny it, Flowerbomb has become a recent staple in the fragrance collection.
