“Come Rain or Shine” was the theme for Burberry’s collection and it was represented perfectly. Classic Burberry ensembles were given shiny touches in the collar, shoes or, in some cases, the entire trenchcoat itself. The result is an electrifying contrast between the matte classic pieces and the bright rain-like modern pieces. Shapes were changed of normal suit separates, turning straight jackets into cocoons and crisp button-ups into patterned tunics. Fans of the line are able to take part in Burberry’s “Runway to Reality” initiative, which enables consumers to buy pieces from the collection online on Burberry.com from the date of the runway show until July 1, 2012 and in 30 Burberry Retail Theatre events and appointments globally. This eclectic and glistening collection mixed simple looks and modern accents beautifully.
