Classic Cartier

Nothing says elegance quite like Cartier, and its sunglass collections for Summer 2010 are certainly no different. New installments in the Double C de Cartier and the Santos Decor collections resonate the luxury and sophistication of the Cartier name, while the new Panthère de Cartier collection attests to the originality of the brand. Not to mention they’re all pretty good lookin’, too.

In various shapes and colors– like the above two styles, a rectangular red and an over-sized beige (both retailing at $500)– the Double C de Cartier decor sunglasses are all a bit reminiscent of frames from the past. Launching in May, these are perfect for the girl who appreciates quality craftsmanship and undeniable style (in other words, Cartier) and who aims to look perfectly sweet.

New additions to the Santos Decor collection in April will offer a sportier look, with a more masculine take on retro achieved by taking a cue from vintage pilot-style frames, like the Cartier Screw decor sunglasses above, retailing for $730. After all, we certainly wouldn’t mind bringing back the days when flying was a bit more glamorous.

But not everything resembles the frames of yesteryear. Also available in April, the new Panthère de Cartier collection distinguishes itself from everything else on the eyewear market with a subtle print of panther spots engraved on the temples of the lenses, like on the Cartier Empreinte Panthère de Cartier frames ($690). Pretty wild, if you ask us.
