Crave: Alexander McQueen the Genius
By Nuo Yee, March 22nd, 2012
It’s been years of skulls and spunk on the runways of Alexander McQueen. His shows were the perfect arena to display his royal rebel style. We here at CITYist can’t help but crave every McQueen accessory out there! With simple but statement-making designs that are able to attract shopaholics from the 16 year old rebellious teen to the sophisticated uptown lady with a dark side. Sarah Burton continues to create pieces that are most definitely crave worthy. These pieces should be seen as an “investment” instead of “unreasonable spending.”
We’ve always wanted our own Audrey Hepburn inspired dress, but Alexander McQueen’s take on the Little Black Dress is right on the top of our list as well.

Lace has always given the image of the innocent and pure, so we just absolutely adore how Alexander uses it with jewels and skulls to create an oxymoronic clutch.

It has always been hard to find a simple black peep-toe heel that could go with everything, but this pair just might be the one. The velvety material creates an elegant and sophisticated feel while the skull makes a statement about the personality. Very well crafted.
