Cute as a Cupcake

After a year and a half of building his mobile gourmet cupcake shop business from scratch, Lev Ekster has opened his first brick and mortar location in New York. CupcakeStop’s flagship store on 70 Greenwich Ave (off of 7th Avenue) serves up all those tasty treats in a location that you can get to without having to solve the mystery of where the truck is that day.
The 27-year-old entrepreneur launched his baked goods company in May 2009 and hasn’t looked back since. He hit the streets with one truck and amassed a following on twitter (larger than any other mobile business in Manhattan), facebook and lining the streets of the NYC that led to a second truck, a home inside Limelight Marketplace and a CupcakeStop bakery in Montclair, NJ. Ekster was also featured on The Food Network where CupcakeStop was named best cupcake on “Food Feuds” and is sure to keep conquering the food and pastry world with his expanding (and super cute) new location.
