Dior Glossy Limited Edition Sunglasses
By Ying Lam, March 17th, 2010
Five years ago, name brand Dior launched Dior Glossy sunglasses. They were inspired by the oversized shapes of sunglasses in the 1970s and soon became a best seller. Five years later, Dior is celebrating its anniversary and launching Limited Edition Dior Glossy Gold sunglasses with gold-colored frames, black interior, dark brown lenses and an 18k gold-lettered Dior logo.
The sunglasses are made from Optyl, a trademark of Safilo. Optyl is composed of a specific blend of resins—a light material and exclusive material to Dior’s sunglass collections. Sharon Stone, Charlize Theron and many more celebrities are fans of the Dior Glossy’s.
There will only be 500 pairs produced in the world, which will be available in late April in the United States for $1,295 a pair. They will be sold at Dior Boutiques as well as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and select specialty stores and select optical retailers.
