Ferragamo Launches: The Girls About Town
By Barie-Claire Rogers, March 26th, 2012
Today, Salvatore Ferragamo will launch The Girls About Town in conjunction with the fashion house’s newest fragrance Signorina. The Girls About Town is a social media and digital project that chronicles the face of the campaign, Bianca Balti, and her friends Rachel Chandler Guinness, Alexandra Richards, Theodora Richards, and Lauren Remington Platt on their journeys and lifestyles as the exemplary “Signorinas.”
The site will launch with the unveiling of “The Signorina Story”, a film directed by Phil Pinto, which weaves the story of Signorina through fashion and festivities. The girls about town will upload new, exclusive content daily that provides a window into their lives. This can vary from beauty routines, to style inspirations, to current projects via videos, photos, and text. Fans can follow their favorite girl about town and share the archived content through social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Tumblr.
The website also offers the opportunity for you to be the next girl about town! Just submit a brief bio that is tailored to enhance your inherent Signorina qualities. Ferragamo will choose ten girls to feature content on the site and share their own experiences as girls about town!
The site also allows users to be among the first to digitally purchase a bottle of the Signorina fragrance. So all you CITYist’s and Signorina’s head over to www.thegirlsabouttown.com and get a bottle today!
