FNO’s Best Parties

By Eva Medoff, August 16th, 2010

Fashion’s Night Out is basically Christmas for fashionistas. And while it would be convenient to clone yourself so you can stop at all the booze and SWAG-filled events, the sheer impossibility of such a scenario makes time management key. Here, we highlight some of the best stops, including “healthy” cocktails, excellent tunes and chances to rub shoulders with super models.

Tap into your inner Francophile for a French-themed party at new Soho boutique Realm (Greene between Spring and Prince) complete with champagne and pastries. For something (a bit) more healthful, head over to the nearby Vogue-certified bash at Korres (110 Wooster St.) for antioxidant-infused cocktails based on the beauty brand’s ingredients, including wild rose, pomegranate, thyme honey and raspberry (“all natural” cupcakes will also be served). Oh, and did we mention that makeovers and beauty advice will abound, as well?

Uptown, Ferragamo will be launching its new W bag (named after matriarch Wanda Ferragamo) at its Fifth Ave. flagship (at 52nd St.). Amidst cocktails and music by DJ Nick Cohen, you can customize a made-to-order W bag. Armani is hosting dual events, each equally promising: at the Madison Avenue store (at 65th St.), Lauren Hutton will share stories with actress Joan Juliet Buck, while Bar Rafaeli will greet guests at the Fifth Ave. boutique (at 56th St.). Directly next door to the latter, Frédéric Fekkai, Marchesa, and Henri Bendel will be banding together to provide a night of pampering. Revelers will get to dress up in a Marchesa dress, House of Lavande jewelry and Christian Louboutin shoes, with hair done by Fekkai and styling tips from Olivia Palermo. Count us in.
