Glamorous Givenchy
By Mackenzie Gavel, March 8th, 2011
On March 6th in Paris, Riccardo Tisci launched his Givenchy Fall 2011 collection with a roar, literally. He set the scene, as he did last season, with models decked out in single silhouettes with tight, interrelated groups of fabrics meshed together to create an awe-inspiring appearance.

Models featured purple orchid prints, Gianni Versace in-the-eighties silks, see-through organza and black patent intertwined with one another to create a stunning, sensual appearance.
His show left quite an impact, with his name thrown around as a likely candidate for the Dior job left open by Galliano’s departure. Front row guests included Kanye West, who is recently trying to work his way into the fashion industry himself, and Anna Dello Russo, among others.
