HAUTE HIPPIE STORE OPENS

By veronica viayra, February 2nd, 2012

The boho rock-n-roll chic Haute Hippie has opened its first permanent Manhattan retail store at 9 Prince Street between Elizabeth and Bowery in Nolita. Designer Trish Wescoat Pound has created a new home to house all of her travel experiences in India, Paris, and home base of New York City that inspire her designs.

Cowhide rugs and crystal chandeliers surround the spring collection providing the ideal ambiance that embodies the lifestyle Pound aims to evoke. The meshing of the hippie and the city translates into the Haute Hippie label with pieces such as studded leather jackets, beaded fishtail skirts, and beaded chiffon caftans.

In addition to carrying the namesake collection, the store will also sell their new label: haute hoodie. This collection is more casual and designed to be layered. Think plaid button down shirts, soft tees, and leather trimmed knit leggings. Also, the collection introduces the product of the new adventure they had undertaken with their debut of menswear pieces.
