Inspire Girls by Shopping with Ivanka Trump
By Kayi Tsang, April 2nd, 2012
Ivanka Trump’s new Ready-to-Wear collection, launched this week at Lord & Taylor’s New York Fifth Avenue flagship store, has created an opportunity for guilt free shopping. This spring 2012 line consists of clothes, shoes, handbags, and outerwear and 10 percent of sales during the evening of the launch went to Girl Up, a United Nations Foundation program that seeks to help adolescent girls in developing countries. Girl Up strives to encourage American girls from ages 13 to 18 to raise awareness and funds for United Nations programs that help improve the lives of girls in developing countries. With the help by Girl Up, adolescent girls around the world, despite their circumstances, have a chance to be educated, healthy, and prepared to become the next generation of global leaders.
The spring 2012 Ready-to-Wear line launch at Lord & Taylor isn’t the first time Ivanka Trump displayed her philanthropic side. Since the beginning of the Girl Up in fall of 2010, Ivanka Trump has been a supporter of uniting adolescent girl ‘philantro-teens’ in America to help other girls in need and encouraging girls to become global leaders. Prior to the recent fashion line launch, Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry has also raised money for this campaign with its signature Girl Up bracelet and beaome a Founding Partner of the Girl Up campaign.
Ladies, what are you waiting for? It’s time to start shopping with Ivanka Trump and supporting girls from around the world to become the future leaders of the world.
