Introducing…
By Eva Medoff, April 5th, 2010

Have You Heard? is our weekly roundup of items we may have previously missed (or would like to remind you of again). So as you plan the week ahead, take a look at our cherry-picked selections of what’s hot in art, music, film and fashion right now.
MONDAY:
British DJ/Producer/one-man-musical machine Bonobo plays The Bowery Ballroom. Bonobo gets his name from the chimp-like apes notorious for their universal, peaceful sexual practices—so we’d imagine his concerts would be an unusual experience.
Bowery Ballroom
6 Delancey Street
New York, NY
TUESDAY:
Kirako Miyazaki’s earth-inspired works at Ouchi Gallery remind us a bit of The Hungry Catepillar. They’re also stunning. Opening reception Tuesday night at 7.
Ouchi Gallery
170 Tillary Street, Suite 507
Brooklyn, NY
WEDNESDAY:

Paul Rusconi “Stevie Williams” 2009
digital screen inks on plexiglas with monochromatic c-print and nail polish in artist’s wood frame
We know, we know, we just told you about this. We wanted to reiterate. Opening reception Wednesday night at 6.
Stellan Holm Gallery
1018 Madison Ave.
New York, NY
THURSDAY:
David Yurman unveils his shop-in-shop at Saks Fifth Avenue. Unfortunately, the invite-only event is strictly VIP, but that shouldn’t stop you from checking out the goods on Friday.
Saks Fifth Avenue
611 5th Avenue
New York, NY
FRIDAY:
Australian thriller “The Square” opens at Landmark Sunshine Theater. Already garnering comparisons to the Coen Brothers and buzz of serious noir status, the movie strikes us as a hybrid of the “Red Riding Trilogy” (the last film credited for bringing back the noir genre) and “Chloe,” the latest in the steamy affair/psychological thriller category.
Landmark Sunshine Theater
143 East Houston St.
New York, NY
