John Varvatos’ Spring/Summer 2013 menswear collection is reminiscent of a time when gangsters ruled the streets. Classic colors, such as black, white and red, are mixed with interesting olive greens and grays to give a new twist on the manly suits. Suit jackets are given military spins with double-breasted buttons or those going along the rounded edges. Some looks were accessorized with straw hats and leather bags to make it contemporary. Although the collection looks mostly simple, the textures of each piece create rugged and modern touches to bring a new attitude to classics.
