Ready or Knot

Handbag designer Katherine Kwei is just the epitome of class. Walk into her Manhattan apartment and you are surrounded by luxury and beauty—and her sophisticated collections reflect just that. Kwei went to design school in London and enhanced her skills working for Louis Vuitton both pre-Marc Jacobs and post. The signature look on her bag is the Chinese Eternity Knot that she learned to tie from her grandmother. Knotting her soft Italian calfskin leather makes the bags appear delicate, but are actually quite durable.
In the photo below, Kwei holds the Kate Boston bag, but the newest one to join her collection is the Lulu bag which can be found on her website here. Lulu pays homage to different genres of music including London’s psychedelic ‘60s and New York’s ’80s dance scene. The bags are for the vibrant, stylish, playful woman, and come in a variety of sizes with a retro shape, made from Italian calfskin. Also a feature on Kwei’s bags are that most all of them have detachable or adjustable straps so a shoulder bag can become a day clutch with just a few snaps.
