Levi’s X House of Holland
By Tiffany Yannetta, April 1st, 2010
No one does jeans like Levi’s, and no one does off-kilter London fashion like House of Holland, so a marriage between the two for Spring/Summer 2010 is the stuff of denim dreams.
On the heels of last summer’s 501 Jeans by House of Holland that were exclusive to London, Levi’s X House of Holland will roll out to select Levi’s stores in the states this month, as well as UK retailers Harvey Nichols and Selfridges & Browns. In true House of Holland fashion, each piece is constructed with a bit of a twist (a men’s denim jacket is all business in the front, but has cut-outs, denim straps and buckles in the back) and done so in washed-out, all American blue jeans à la Levi’s. Other styles in the eight-piece collection include a bustier, denim skirt and an open-neck, button-down shirt, with cotton tees to add into the mix. And if the creative stylings of those two powerhouses isn’t enough for you, CITY favorite Leigh Lezark’s been called in to don the new duds for the lookbook. By the looks of it, we’d say these are all a pretty good alternative to just your run-of-the-mill summer cut-offs.
