Life is a Canvas
By Mackenzie Gavel, February 18th, 2011
The Fall 2011 collection of Lela Rose features designs that portray feelings of hazy, obscured imagery, which the styles accomplish through their subdued hues and delicate cuts, to emulate the feel of works seen by the contemporary artist Gerhard Richter. Sculpted shoulders, strict silhouettes and prints painted across cotton canvases reflect visible similarities of the artist’s creations.
