The Walt Disney Studios and Christian Louboutin have unveiled the ultimate, modern-day Cinderella-inspired slipper in Paris during Haute Couture week. Whimsical and modern at once, the shoes were inspired by Cinderella’s character and story straight from the tale itself.

“Cinderella is not only an iconic character when it comes to beauty, grace, and fairytale love, but also shoes,” explains Christian Louboutin, who was invited by Disney to re-imagine the famous slipper in honor of disney’s global release of the Cinderella Diamond Edition on Blu-Ray this fall.

Delicate lace and sparkling butterflies give the slippers and enchanting look, while Louboutin’s signature red soles bring the shoes to modern-day life.

Using the words lightness, beauty, and transparency, Louboutin describes the pair as a dream materialized.

As part of the celebration, a few lucky Cinderellas will win one of the twenty original slippers created for the collaboration.
