Men Go Bold this Spring
By Christine Tran, March 19th, 2012
Bright, bold colors were splashed on the spring runways of Dolce & Gabbana, Moschino and Bottega Veneta. Very similar to women’s color palette, men’s hues take a bright and playful approach to Spring 2012, and this is one seasonal trend that is here to say, “Go bold or go home.”
Not sold on going bold? It’s understandable. Many men will often disregard bright colors completely with the false belief that they won’t be able to ‘pull it off.’ But we’re here to tell you that you can! The first trick? Offset the brightness with something neutral. Start by integrating bold colors into your wardrobe and anchoring those colors with darker or lighter neutral pieces. For example, pair oranges with khaki or layer a grey cardigan over bright tees. The second trick? Have confidence! Be confident! Wearing bright colors will naturally turn heads, so why not complement the attention with confidence? You’ll inspire fellow men to follow suit by implementing color into their own spring style.
And to get you started, here are some affordable options for your next bold move!
