Miu Miu Transports Us Back to the 40’s
By Mackenzie Gavel, March 15th, 2011
Debuting one of its most elegant collections as of yet, Miu Miu presented its Fall 2011 collection during Paris’ Fashion Week this past March 9th. Models featured matte red lips with combs holding back their hair in an effort to recapture the essence of the 1940’s.
The backdrop of the show featured striking views of Le Tour d’Eiffel, architect Auguste Perret’s 1937 Palais d’Iéna, which has never before been opened for a fashion show.
Models strutted in glitter-dipped sandal booties and smaller clutches. Slim, long-sleeved, to-the-knee dresses proved bold and sexy.
