Moschino jet-sets in style

By Jake Flanagin, October 30th, 2010

Moschino’s new “Lost & Found” collection was launched in June, 2010 to celebrate the inauguration of the Maison Moschino – a 65-room boutique hotel converted from a neoclassical railway station in Milan. Included in the line is a trolley case, document case, laptop bag, shopper bag, cosmetics pouch, and mini messenger bag – all outfitted in the iconic “superstitious” print. The graphic print and contrasting shades suggest a gentle salute to early ‘60s, airline chic (think Pan Am flight attendants). The elegantly conspicuous patterns are a mixture of symbols pertaining to both good and bad luck, raising even more questions as to the inspiration for the collection. I guess that’s for Signora Jardini to know, and us to find out. Either way, the line is undeniably modish, unique, and fresh.

Pieces from the “Lost & Found” line range in price from €300 to €450 (that’s about $418 to $627 assuming the exchange rate doesn’t fluctuate). They are available in stores in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
