Bright, neon hues were a huge trend last year, and they seem to be making a striking comeback this spring in the form of accessories. As witnessed on the runways of Nanette Lepore, Rag & Bone and Peter Som, dashes of neon can really brighten the typical spring ensemble as it’s almost impossible to ignore their eye-popping, eye-catching qualities. And with temperatures on the rise, what better way to stay cool than in neon-hued accessories?

When it comes neon, we’re enforcing the ‘Less is more’ rule. For a simple yet chic look, we recommend choosing one neon piece and letting it take focus. This can be achieved by mixing a vibrantly colored purse or neon shoes with a neutral colored outfit. Take the lead from style icons, Rihanna and Mary-Kate Olsen, who opted for Giambattista Valli’s Victoria Platform heels to illustrate the point that a little pop can go a long way.
