CITY EATS: Brooklyn Wok Shop

By admin, February 3rd, 2012

The Silk Road has finally come to New York-well, to Brooklyn at least. Brooklyn Wok Shop opened on February 1, 2012. It is a new fusion restaurant that treats its customers to traditional Chinese cuisine with a healthy new twist. Wok Shop’s menu consists of only hormone and anti-biotic free meats paired with simplified staples stripped down to their basic ingredients for a fresh, yet familiar taste.

Founder and executive chef Edric Har has transformed organic into orgasmic and will take your palate from dull to deliciously sinful without the leaving the comforts of home. Each dish is prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients that leave the consumer satisfied and still light, instead of regretfully heavy as mundane Chinese food tends to be.

Even the interior screams urban renewal with blonde wood slats and a glossy Mandarin mural of decorative blue bowls on organic cork. The hyperbolic mixture of healthy Chinese food eaten in a French country house creates an environment that is cozy and inviting, the perfect atmosphere for an adventurous palate.
