BORBAY, Portrait of the Artist as a Not So Young Man

Painting Resurrected has something to prove. That is, not surprisingly, that painting is alive and well—and perhaps doesn’t need to be resurrected at all. That’s why the event will be one night only, short and sweet, a figurative exclamation point in a midst of long, droll reports of art’s demise. Featuring artists Jeremy Penn, Ari Lankin and BORBAY, the contemporary works are fueled by pop culture (Brigitte Bardot and David Bowie), postmodernism and the hum of city life, particularly the city of New York.
