Yesterday marked the opening of the Reed Krakoff: One Chair exhibit at Salon94 Gallery. Taking a felt chair that he co-designed with his wife, Delphine, Krakoff redefined and replicated it 99 times. The exhibit displays these 99 chairs that he designed in different combinations of felts aiming to play with shapes and colors. This is purposed to mix the colors with the signature RK Grey and creating color-blocking which can be seen in the upcoming Reed Krakoff Fall 2012 Collection. The exhibit will run until March 2. For those worrying that they can’t make it in time, Krakoff photographed all of the chairs for a commemorative book which will be released once the exhibit closes.
