RUNWAY REPORT:FW 2012 Erin by Erin Fetherston

By Christine Tran, February 14th, 2012

Reminiscent of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the presentation of Erin by Erin Fetherston Fall 2012 at Milk Studios this past Saturday was nothing short of whimsical. In true Fetherston fashion, the stage was lined with gold-painted tree stumps and angelically poised models, evoking the image of an enchanted forest of fairies. Fetherston was inspired by both the human spirit and nature and combines elements of feminine with flirty. Comprising mostly of silk and chiffon, the fall collection balances sequined pieces with floral prints and solid-colored dresses. Subtle details such as lollipop chiffon and rose brocades only further embellished the beautiful collection. To counter the sweetness, darker pieces in black and jade offer an edgier, contemporary vibe. There’s no doubt that the Erin by Erin Fetherston AW 2012 collection was designed for the “It” girls seeking classy yet casual elegance.
