Shimmer with Swarovski during Fashion’s Night Out!
By Mackenzie Gavel, September 4th, 2011
As shoppers enter the Henri Bendel store, the first floor will be completely transformed into an extravaganza with a Swarovski Crystal Palace chandelier, titled “Cascade” by Vincent Van Duysen, serving as the room’s centerpiece at an understated fourteen feet height!
Crystallized makeovers by Frédéric Fekkai will begin at 3PM and will include manicures and hair styling infused with Swarovski Elements! Limited-edition Fashion’s Night Out tees embroidered with black diamond and fuchsia crystal will be available for purchase.
A live tattoo tech will showcase his work in the 5th Avenue windows from 6PM to 11PM, so even onlookers can catch a glimpse of the night’s sparkling affair! Exclusive Henri Bendel tattoos made with Swarovski Elements will be available for purchase throughout the night and artists will be readily available to ink guests with their desired emblem of choice.
Swarovski’s commitment to the arts will, of course, not go unnoticed. A display of eight costumes made with Swarovski Elements, from Phantom of the Opera, designed by Tony Award winning costume designer Alexandra Byrne, and NINE, designed by Oscar winning costume designer Colleen Atwood, will be part of the fabulous decor and will remain on display in Henri Bendel until September 19th.
And as if this affair won’t be spectacular enough, Swarovski shines through with the creation of a large scale crystallized mural, designed by Izak Zenou, which will be auctioned off for the American Red Cross at 10PM.
This is one event you simply cannot afford to miss, CITYists!
