Peplum has blossomed in spring collections for 2012. The trend features a ruffled or flared piece that is placed on the waistline of a skirt, top, or dress. The style adds an illusion of curves exaggerating the waist creating a nice hourglass shape. Notable sights of this trend include Badgley Mischka where the eye-popping peplum works with vibrant prints, Jason Wu who took the trend and made it ultra-feminine with bubble-gum pink and cute patterns, and Marc by Marc Jacob which gave a sporty twist to the curve-enhancing style.
