Steve Madden Music Summer Concert Series
By Liz Smith, July 23rd, 2012
On Wednesday, July 18, in the Lower East Side of New York City, famed recording artist, Delta Rae, and Steve Madden joined forces to continue the STEVE MADDEN MUSIC 2012 SUMMER CONCERT SERIES. The Sire Records recording artists performed at the Steve Madden store in Ludlow. Despite the surprise downpour, fans showed up ready and enthused for a private performance from the six-member band. After performing new music from their debut album, “Carry the Fire,” including their hauntingly soulful hit, “Bottom of the River,” they jammed out with household objects—a trashcan and thick metal chains. To slow things down, the band hopped off-stage to sing “Hey Hey Hey” along with the crowd and even sang an exclusive cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” to close out the night. Lenay Dunn of MTV’s Ten on Top served as host for the evening. DJ KALKUTTA spun an electric set while the VIP guestlist enjoyed pink lemonade cocktails courtesy of Tito’s Vodka.
Wednesday’s event was the third concert of the series and the final event of the summer will be in August. Be sure to keep your ears peeled for when it will be!
