Suit Yourself

Alas, the epitome of menswear luxury has arrived at Prada: the made-to-measure program. Any man whose ever put on a suit, let alone had one precisely custom-made to fit his body, knows that the beauty of a perfect, timeless suit lies in the masterful tailoring and pristine details. With expert tailors trained in Italy and Prada’s reputation, what better hands to help you pick a lining and select the best collar?

The made-to-measure program includes shirting, suits and jackets, and all of the garments are made at the Belvest factory in Italy. With a choice of over 250 suiting fabrics, 40 coat fabrics, and shirting options that range from classic solids to vintage Prada prints, the possibilities are endless. Pricing for the shirts begins at $445—choose your fit, collar and cuffs, and even add a personalized monogram (hey, why not?). For a custom-made suit, prices start at $2,800—but you can drop up to $43,000 for even higher-end fabrics if you really want to go all out.

Participating stores include two in New York (45 E. 57th Street and 724 5th Avenue); Beverly Hills (343 North Rodeo Drive); Bel Harbour (9700 Collins Avenue); Chicago (30 East Oak Street) and San Francisco (201 Post Street). Head to Prada’s website for store information and further details.
