(Super) Model Behavior
By Eva Medoff, April 8th, 2010
To people who say supermodels don’t exist anymore, we say take a look at Lacee Swan’s T-shirts. Model worship is alive and well, and it’s in the form of a plain white tee with a bare-bones sketch and a one-word name. That’s all true fashion aficionados need to identify the shirt’s subjects—the long-legged and sometimes gap-toothed amazons who rule today’s catwalks and ad campaigns.
So far, the collection includes Lara Stone (the size 4 Dutch seductress credited with bringing back curves), Dree Hemingway (great-granddaughter of Ernest), Ranya Mordanova (Russian goth muse) Daisy Lowe (voluptuous British it-girl) and Alexa Chung (model turned MTV host). It will soon expand to include one of fashion’s latest darlings, Midwestern girl Karlie Kloss. Order the shirts on Brooklyn-based designer Lacee Swan’s site—and be happy she creates her tees with “girls who love pop art, fashion, music and especially heart shaped sunglasses” in mind.
