I got a sneak peek at the Swarovski Crystallized Spring/Summer 2011 collection at the Crystallized store in Soho. I couldn’t help but immediately falling in love with this Octopus rung that Kenneth Jay Lane designed for the brand. Lane was in the store on Wednesday for the preview, which featured a “crystal beach” complete with sand and crystals that you waded through on the way to view the maritime themed collections. Coming out his spring, Swarovski will bring together the creations from 17 designers (Lane being just one of them) who had creative freedom to create everything from themed rings and bright bracelets, to crystal handbags. Among the designers contributing to the collaboration are Caleidoscope, Dannijo, Camila Klein, Philippe Audibert, and Ted Rossi.
Although you have to wait until Spring to see all these amazing designs and what exactly a crystal can do, stop into the Crystallized store beginning next week as famed Austrian chef Kurt Gutenbrunner brings his Michelin star cuisine to the store for a unique dining experience at Café Kristall.
