Top Designer Fun Finds
By Marisa Steinberg, July 13th, 2012
Season after season they shock and amaze us with boundary-pushing garments, causing us to question our definition of chic and the purpose of having a savings account. Some of our most lusted after designers forgo the boundaries of a typical fashion house all together, dipping their stylish hands into the most mundane markets and producing something we’ll probably keep in the packaging and stare at for the rest of forever. From plush dolls to adhesive bandages to water spouts, here’s our six favorite unexpected designer spin-off items.

Muscle Man Marc Doll; $125, marcjacbos.com
Because who hasn’t dreamt of snuggling up with Marc?

Cynthia Rowley Band Aid Brand Beach Sport Kit; $12, cynthiarowley.com
My stiletto-induced blisters don’t hurt as much with technicolor seahorse and jellyfish bandaids.

Kate Spade Spade Correspondence Notecards; $20, katespade.com
Almost convinced me to revert back to snail mail.

Karl Lagerfeld Diet Coke Bottles
Totally settled the Pepsi vs. Coke battle for me.

Jason Wu for Brizo Faucet;$799, brizo.com
Not sure what’s drawing my favorite designers to the hydration market, but Jason Wu’s water faucet makes getting eight glasses a day a breeze.

Dolce & Gabbana the Animalier Bicycle
With 24k-gold detailing, I don’t think this baby is ever going to leave the driveway.
