Trend: Bird Prints

Spring 2012 is for the birds. Designs took flight this season, using bird prints on everything from dresses, to pants. Designers such as Giles, Carolina Herrera, and Jill Stuart flocked to this trend and used bird patterns in their collections. Images of birds varied from abstract to literal and were featured in soft pastels, as well as bold brights. The bird print is a refreshing alternative to florals for spring.
