Trend: Native Prints
By Eva Medoff, June 29th, 2010

Native American/Mexican prints are everywhere this summer, and the sheer energy of the zig zagged patterns and bright colors simply forced us to jump on the bandwagon. From lawn chairs to sneakers, eyeglasses to beaded earrings, the prints sure have proven versatile.

These Vans “Guata Stripe” slip ons ($54) take the skater shoes into bona fide trend category.

Check out the back pocket of Casette’s men’s Navajo jeans. For $350, you can add some detail to your usually boring dungarees.

These flirty dresses from Mara Hoffman make us want to book a ticket to Mexico City, or Santa Fe.

Lila Stuempfig beaded earrings ($238 and $178, from left to right) add some craftiness to the Native trend.

These Mosley Tribes glasses may be sold out…but maybe they’ll produce another batch? Stay tuned for more Mexican-inspired specs from the brand—we’d say the popularity of the Lyndel beaded model should mean something to the business savvy.

For $12.95, you can even sit on top of a Navajo pattern. See? It’s ubiquitous.
