Bike obsessives and photo aficionados be warned: Gant is hosting a giveaway starting today that combines your two greatest loves. Teaming up with The Impossible Project, an organization aiming to preserve analog instant photography, the pioneering sportswear brand will be giving away a limited-edition Gant Rugger cruiser bicycle and an original, vintage Polaroid camera to one lucky individual. Customers who make a purchase at the Gant Bleecker Street shop (353 Bleecker) will have their snapshot taken and have a chance at the $1,600 prize.
Modeled after a turn of the century single speed racer, the bike will be paired with a leather-covered Polaroid SX-70 Alpha 1 Land Camera (which, we imagine, must sound like music to photophiles’ ears). An enviable arsenal of accessories comes along with the camera, whose leather straps will sure look nice next to the bike’s stitched leather handlebars and saddle. Riding on such a vehicle with your new retro Polaroid, you’ll be the envy of the vintage-obsessed, back-to-basics scene.
