By Eva Medoff, April 12th, 2010

Have You Heard? is our weekly roundup of items we may have previously missed (or would like to remind you of again). So as you plan the week ahead, take a look at our cherry-picked selections of what’s hot in art, music, film and fashion right now.

Yves Saint Laurent sponsors the star-studded premier of the Metropolitan Opera’s “Armida,” a “fanciful story of the sorceress who enthralls men in her island prison of sensual delights.” Sounds empowering. No wonder Maggie Gyllenhaal, Chloë Sevigny, Julianna Margulies, Ginnifer Goodwin and Bette Midler (among others) will be attending.

David Byrne signs his new book and album, “Here Lies Love,” at MOMA. Don’t miss your chance to meet the Talking Heads frontman and score some sweet tunes about Imelda Marcos.
Wednesday
Nothing on our radar this week. Do you know of anything going on this Hump Day?
Thursday
The perfect marriage: a flashy MAC flagship opens in flashy Time Square.
Friday
NosfeROCKtu, an innovative event featuring silent films and live music, will happen at Crash Mansion on The Bowery at 8 p.m. The event features 10 competing film entries and will go to benefit Art Start, a nonprofit helping youth connect with creativity.
