Protect Yourself

Today, I spent three hours wandering around New York City with the sun gleaming straight into my eyes, and I didn’t care, because this has been the first day in so long that I haven’t had to bundle up in a jacket with five layers bulging underneath. I felt free, I literally soaked up the sun and ignored the pain as the glare of its rays became too much for my eyes, and my contacts, to handle. Which, though it felt good, isn’t good.
