GANT goes back to Yale in the 1960s for their Spring/ Summer 2012 Yale Co-op Shirt collection. The line allows current retro-loving scholars to sport shirts like those that students and professors wore on campus back in the day.

GANT by Michael Bastian went back in time and place for his 2012 Fall presentation. Using his college experience in 80’s era Boston, Bastian designed a collection with elements of prep, mod, and a touch of Irish.

The oldest fragrance house in the world, Robertet, has designed its first fragrance for GANT, launching worldwide today! Inspired partially by the New England waters and a coastal-living lifestyle, GANT is as legendary and innovative as its designers, Pierre Dinand, who worked on the bottle, and Pierre Wulff, who worked to produce the fragrance formula.

It looks like love is already in the air for Spring/Summer 2011, particularly throughout the GANT by Michael Bastian lines. Yes, thats right: lines. This Fashion Week marked the debut of Michael Bastian’s first-ever women’s collection, and he couldn’t have picked more of a woman to base his designs around: the woman, Marilyn Monroe. And for the men’s line? Joe Dimaggio and Arthur Miller. As he puts it, the SS11 collection is the “unlikely combination of the sports nerd and the bombshell finding each other and falling in love.”

Teaming up with The Impossible Project, an organization aiming to preserve analog instant photography, the pioneering sportswear brand will be giving away a limited-edition Gant Rugger cruiser bicycle and an original, vintage Polaroid camera to one lucky individual.

Officially opening just yesterday to the public, Gant opens its first dedicated boutique for their youth-oriented, stylish Rugger line. The store, located at 353 Bleecker Street in the West Village, carries the full range of Rugger menswear in a cozy space that echoes Gant’s industrial New Haven manufacturing plant roots.
