By Rebekah Meiser, December 13th, 2010

In case you haven’t heard, Gucci’s got a new perfume. And what better to accompany the sultry brand’s even sultrier fragrance, wickedly named Gucci Guilty, but super sleek sunglasses?

I never leave the house without spraying myself with a beautiful scent. But as day turns into night, the fragrance sometimes needs a refresh.

Easy Rider

Aviator frames are already pretty rough and tough on their own (think Marlon Brando in The Wild One and you’ll get the idea). Add a bit of leather to the mix and you’ve got shades meant to wear while straddling a Harley. Though we don’t know if that’s what Gucci had in mind with their new eyewear collection, we’d like to imagine ourselves urban cowboys in these new frames.

molto bene

By Tiffany Yannetta, April 28th, 2010

One of Italy’s greatest gifts to the rest of the world (besides the food and the fashion, of course) is their knack for creating some pretty unforgettable cinematic moments; it’s almost impossible to go to the Trevi Fountain and not think of Anita Ekberg, in an evening gown, curves and all, wading through it. To make sure that we never lose those images, Martin Scorsese’s Film Foundation, with a helping hand from Gucci, will restore two classics this year: Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita and Luchino Visconti’s Il Gattopardo. And since both films are approaching their 50th anniversaries, it seems like a pretty good way to celebrate.

Lucky London

By Eva Medoff, April 22nd, 2010

For all our readers in London, or those who may find themselves there (though with the whole volcano thing, that’s unlikely), we present Gucci’s limited edition shoe: a wonderfully cheeky polka-dotted lace-up loafer created in collaboration with musician/producer Mark Ronson (and available exclusively at Gucci’s London pop up store).

Gucci Gets Historical

By Eva Medoff, April 14th, 2010

Gucci is all about bags. And to prove it, they’ll be sending their team of artisans around the country to sew their arsenal of leather goods in person. Gucci’s Artisan Corner will makes its way from San Francisco to New York (with stops in between) starting on April 22nd, so customers can see the last stitches, bamboo handles and embossed initials of their signature bags be completed in person.

Spring’s Must-Have Shoe

By Eva Medoff, March 15th, 2010

The warm weather bootie has provided a valuable option for those stuck in not-quite-warm and not-quite-cold spring weather. Mostly covered, except for a peep toe and some side cut-outs, Gucci’s “Clemence” high-heeled platform leads the pack in mossy-taupe leather. The blow of the 4.1-inch heel is softened a bit by a built-in wooden platform, giving the otherwise sleek leather look a slightly rustic feel. The “Clemence” shoe joins an entire arsenal of Gucci Spring 2010 platforms—in utterly wearable greys, blacks, whites and nudes. Available to purchase on the Gucci website, these leg-extending wonder shoes can be worn from sunny LA to dreary New York—provided it’s not raining.
