Leather Japan 2012 presented several collaborations from some of Japan’s best clothing and accessory designers at New York Fashion Week on Monday. They hopped on board the eco-friendly train by having all handbags made with environmentally-friendly leather called genten. Check out some of the looks here.

Bibhu Mohapatra’s first collection down Fashion Week runways was a luxurious treat for the eyes. The young designer’s simple yet elegant collection will have women dying to wear brightly-colored furs and flowy ombre dresses.

Never one to have a boring old showing, Tara Subkoff, creative director and designer of Imitation made sure guests were entertained. On this past Saturday, February 12th, Pamela Love presented her Fall/Winter 2011 collection at Milk Studios in New York City. Her collection features her traditional astrological and alchemist themes intertwined with themes driven from inspiration from traditional Navajo patterns. Hand carved metal crystal formations completed the ensembles in shimmering hues of light blue, metallic green and deep purple.

This past Saturday, Illesteva presented their Fall/Winter 2011 eyewear collection at MAC/MILK from 7pm to 8pm. A sixteen piece orchestra perfomed, with attendees including Jared Sullivan, Malina Joseph, Masha Orlov, Karin Nelson, Sabrina Marshall and Martin Cohn.

On February 9th at her New York showroom, Lorena Sarbu presented her Fall 2011 couture collection and left the room in awe of her designs. Her debut to Fashion Week, Sarbu held an intimate cocktail party as she unveiled her designs in front of press, stylists, buyers and VIP guests. With the help of stylist Ann Caruso, who accessorized each of the models with jewels by Danni Jo, the night proved to be a success.

With New York’s Fashion Week now in full force, here are some notable looks that DKNY released at their Men Fall 2011 Live Presentation. Color blocking along with muted hues and sleek designs combine to form the perfect level of desirability for a chic appearance next Fall.
