Home Spun

For the girl who can’t get enough of Kate and Laura Mulleavy’s crafty inventions for Rodarte, you no longer have to settle for only wearing the fabric on your body. With Rodarte’s collaboration with Knoll Luxe, the brand’s dreamlike fabrics can now adorn the home with five upholstery and three drapery textiles. Named after the designers’ favorite poets (E.E. cummings, John Keats, W. H. Auden and Dorothy Parker), the fabrics are alternately textured or sheer, neutral or water-colored.

Met Ball Roundup

By Eva Medoff, May 4th, 2010

The Oscars of fashion, the Met’s Costume Institute Gala, has finally arrived and with it, surprisingly, countless gowns designed for Gap. Said designers included CITY favorite Thakoon (who outfitted Kerry Washington), Rodarte (Kirsten Dunst, model Jamie Bochert), Alexander Wang (M.I.A. and Zoe Kravitz) and Sophie Theallet ( Jessica Alba and Vera Farmiga). Alexa Chung showed up in a tuxedo on the arm of Phillip Lim. Also in attendance was former CITY cover girl Riley Keough, wearing Thakoon’s romantic “conceptual frill” gown. See a fashion roundup after the jump.
