This time of year it seems as if every window on Fifth Avenue is shimmering with crystals and lights. This year, Swarovski and Cimon are bringing some of that holiday sparkle downtown to Soho. And they’re using LEGOs…

Through the many years of elementary school, my friends and I made many accessories to proclaim our friendship. From braided anklets to matching necklaces, homemade friendship accessories were all the rage back in the day. Contemporary design company Seltzer is bringing the friendship accessory back with The Awesome Pin, an 18k gold-plated pin decorated with Swarovski colors.

Thanks to the sparkling and beautiful people at Swarovski, I got to check out the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show earlier this month and see the bras, babes and baubles on the runway before the show airs Tuesday, Nov. 30 on CBS at 10 p.m.

I got a sneak peek at the Swarovski Crystallized Spring/Summer 2011 collection at the Crystallized store in Soho. I couldn’t help but immediately falling in love with this Octopus rung that Kenneth Jay Lane designed for the brand.

In his first ever collaboration with Atelier Swarovski, former CITYist Matthew Williamson goes big. This is not unusual for the British designer known for his gemstone-colored dresses. Except this time, the gemstones (or crystals, we should say) are on necklaces, bracelets, earrings and cuffs. Featuring geometric shapes and large-cut crystals that can be seen from a mile away, the pieces are adorned with nearly every color of the spectrum, creating a visually stunning collection. Each piece is significantly different from the other, yet tied together by abstract florals and graphic shapes–making the line some sort of ethnic boho space odyssey.

Most people have heard about the iPad, due out April 3rd. So it was inevitable that some sort of luxury iPad would immediately be in the works. First, it was the Mervis Diamond iPad, featuring 11.43 carats of diamonds and clocking in at a whopping $20,000. Luckily, those that like their gadgets jewel-encrusted now have another option: CrystalRoc’s Swarovski-studded version, which, at around $2,250 (depending on iPad size), is a bargain in comparison.
